Runner’s World Magazine Review – Helium II Jacket/

Runner's World Magazine features the OR Helium II Jacket

Runner’s World Magazine reviews the OR Helium II Jacket:
“The Outdoor Research Helium II Jacket is made with a Pertex Shield, which repels water but allows the garment to breathe. “I ran in light, steady rain and in fairly hard rain; this jacket kept me dry throughout both,” said one tester. The jacket is fully seam-taped, and the hood’s stiff bill shields your face from raindrops.”

GearJunkie.com Review – Flex Tex Gaiters/

GearJunkie.com reviews the Flex-Tex Gaiters:
“Our entire team loved these short running gaiters. Stretchy, windproof, breathable, and extremely abrasion resistant, these gaiters from Outdoor Research kept 100% of debris out of our shoes. While not waterproof (neither were our shoes), the gaiters dried fast, and they were incredibly easy to take on and off. The fit is superb on our shoe-boots, and they worked so well for us in the vast and harsh terrain of Patagonia that we eschewed using our more robust and traditional gaiters even when heading high into a snow mountain pass. The underfoot strap was unbreakable, withstanding even the sharpest rocks.”

Women’sAdventureMagazine.com Review – Chaos Jacket/

Women’sAdventureMagazine.com reviews the OR Chaos Jacket:
“This midweight jacket is probably considered a layering piece, but, the truth is, it’s usually all I need over my base layer. Though not a hardshell, it’s water resistant and made to withstand pretty wet conditions, which is good enough for most days in the West. The Chaos is also surprisingly breathable, and unzipping a bit is enough to cool me down when I am working hard. Plus the jacket is filled with features I love: stash pockets on the inside, a cozy and roomy hood that doesn’t hinder my vision, and a soft chin guard that blocks the wind”

OnTheSnow.com Review – Ambit Gloves/

OnTheSnow.com reviews the Ambit Gloves:
“The Ambit Gloves by OR use Touch-Tec leather that does not seem any different than regular leather, but it is touch-screen sensitive. The Ambit glove, itself, is a typical good-quality Outdoor Research ski glove. With a fairly sizeable gauntlet cuff and plenty of insulation, the glove can easily handle storm days.”

Triedge.net Review – Men’s Tempo Shirt/

Triedge.net reviews the Men’s Tempo Shirt:
“Until this year I did not know that OR had any casual clothing available. This was a pleasant surprise. The Men’s Tempo Shirt is a great long sleeve casual shirt with twhat i call cowboy snap buttons and the red plaid is timeless. They did a great job of making a cozy shirt that will work well in any season because it is a drirelease cotton and polyester blen. Great for camping, going out on the town, or just lounging around the house; it’s a solid addition to your closet.’

Triedge.net Review – Vigor Jacket/

Triedge.net reviews the Vigor Jacket:
“Now that you are thinking about a shell for your hands, now you need to get a Vigor. The Vigor is the perfect activity shell. As light-weight as the Versaliner, it is the perfect piece if the weather is looking sketchy on a long run or bike ride. I used this in snow, rain and very cold temperatures. This is a great single layer that travels well and is great in a pocket or backpack. Made of a very strong thin waterproof nylon, I found it useful for days when the temps start out low but increase later in the day. There are a couple reflective patches that help if you plan on running close to civilization. I did not know that a jacket that was so thin and light could be so durable and strong. It is a good versatile, go-to shell. This is a great back up to have in a transition bag for your next Triathlon. If you need it before after or during it is going to work very well and not be bulky. I started running the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim to Rim in this and was glad to have it with me in case the weather suddenly changed. Thankfully, the Vigor packs down about the size of a clenched fist.”

Triedge.net Review – Versaliner Gloves/

Triedge.net reviews the Versaliner Gloves:
“The Versaliner is a light-weight full finger glove with comfortable fleece that has flexibility and stretch. The really great part about this product is that it has a pocket where a breathable, waterproof liner can be pulled out quickly and thrown over the glove. It literally is a waterproof shell for your gloves. This is great as snow or rain sneak into any adventurous moment and is perfect for any outdoor activity. I tested them extensively during cold winter trail running. When the temperature drops it is great to have this extra layer. As a bonus, the pocket can be used for hand warmers.”
